Wedding photographers in my region in the Western Cape often have some downtime in winter. The wedding season slows, and we typically use that time to beg our friends to take us back (we are totally MIA from gatherings during wedding season); spend lovely time with our families, update admin, and strategise for the new season. I’ve also been studying – I’m busy with a business degree and it’s been very rewarding but definitely demands time too.
Blogging has taken a backseat over the last few weeks, but today I can reveal a new blog post, and it’s my favourite kind – I’ve been behind the camera and had some wonderful people in front of my lens.
I met Carli a while ago while photographing another event, and was lucky enough to be invited to photograph her for her matric farewell recently. She looked amazing. Her dress was created by Odette Gomes and I hope you can see it in the images, but to say the dress was stunning is a massive understatement. I say it frequently, but I really feel so lucky to be able to meet and get to know incredible people and be a part of really special occasions in their lives. I hope these images do Carli justice, she is stunning. Also, a shoutout to Hamman for being ridiculously good looking and brilliant in front of the camera.
